Most people have transverse neck folds (“rings”) from birth, but they become more pronounced with age. They form due to neck bending. Folds in the décolleté area also form during sleep.
They can be removed with injections of hyaluronic acid gel.
Indications
folds (“Venus rings”) of varying severity;
wrinkles in the décolleté area (age-related or caused by skin creasing during sleep).
Contraindications
pregnancy and breastfeeding;
blood clotting disorders;
oncological diseases;
local or systemic infection at the time of the procedure.
How the Procedure Is Performed
Before the procedure, a numbing cream is applied under a film for 20–30 minutes. The product also contains anesthetic, making the procedure comfortable and painless.
A gel is injected at the base of the fold, filling it and smoothing the skin above it. As a result, the depth of the fold is reduced or completely smoothed out. This is a highly precise procedure, and it is very important to inject the product exactly beneath the fold.
Slight redness may remain after the procedure and resolves within 1 hour. Bruising is possible.
Full correction of these folds usually requires 2–3 procedures.
