A young, beautiful and harmonious face is characterized by full, smooth and even contours, with seamless transitions from one facial area to another, no skin creases or folds, and no sharp changes in skin surface due to the play of light and shadow.
During aging, along with decreased skin elasticity and an overall sharpening of facial features, the face appears to descend due to soft tissue displacement. The combination of these signs, known as a “tired face”, is characterized by pronounced tear troughs and cheek-zygomatic grooves. The appearance of a cheek-zygomatic groove is often seen at a fairly young age and may be related not to aging changes, but to anatomical and physiological facial features (a thin face, disproportions, bite peculiarities, etc.).

How the Procedure Is Performed
Hyaluronic acid gel is ideal for correcting this area. It is injected into the depression (indentation), filling and lifting it.
The procedure is performed with a cannula (a long blunt-tipped needle), which makes it safe as it does not damage nerves or blood vessels.
The product contains anesthetic, making the procedure comfortable and painless.
Slight redness may remain after the procedure and resolves within 30–60 minutes. Mild swelling may last 2–3 days. Bruising is possible.
A repeat procedure may be required.
