This procedure helps correct age-related changes such as vertical lines above the upper lip, drooping mouth corners, and general loss of volume. Depending on the patient’s wishes, the lips can be made fuller, plumper, or simply more defined and sensual. The procedure is minimally traumatic and comfortable.
Local nerve block anesthesia is performed before the procedure, so the patient does not feel pain. The procedure lasts 30 minutes. You can return to your normal activities immediately afterward.
Bruising and swelling are possible after the procedure. Maximum swelling usually occurs the next morning.
After the procedure, you should avoid saunas and steam baths, sleeping face down, and kissing for 1 week.
Herpes flare-ups are possible. In such cases, preventive antiviral treatment is prescribed in advance.
