Buccal facial massage

This is a type of sculpting massage developed by the experienced French cosmetologist and biotechnologist Joëlle Ciocco.

Buccal facial massage is available in two options:

1. Buccal myofascial facial massage without oil

2. Buccal sculpting facial massage with oil

Indications

  • chronic tension of facial muscles (chewing muscles, glabella, cheekbones);

  • asymmetry;

  • tendency to swelling;

  • blurred facial contour, jowls;

  • pronounced folds and creases;

  • decreased tone;

  • hypertonicity of chewing muscles, teeth clenching, bruxism;

  • “tired” appearance;

  • maintenance after machine and injection procedures.

Contraindications

  • oncological diseases;

  • herpes and infectious diseases;

  • active skin diseases;

  • active couperose/rosacea;

  • pronounced inflammatory processes in the oral cavity;

  • recent surgical procedures;

  • recent injections: botox (2 weeks), fillers (2 weeks);

  • recent tooth extraction (up to 2 weeks).

Buccal myofascial facial massage without oil

This is a deep manual technique aimed at relaxing muscles, improving the mobility of fascial tissues, and restoring the natural facial contour. The procedure is performed without oil, allowing maximum sensitivity to the fascia, precise pressure control, and work with deep layers, including the chewing muscles through the oral cavity.

Objective: to relax muscles and fascia, relieve spasms, and improve tissue mobility
Procedure duration: 1.5 hours

Procedure stages:

1. Myofascial facial treatment

The specialist gently and deeply works on the fascia - connective tissue responsible for mobility and facial structure.

Result: tension and hypertonicity are relieved, swelling is reduced, microcirculation improves, tissues are prepared for buccal massage, symmetry improves, and tension decreases.

2. Buccal massage

At the second stage, work is performed through the oral cavity using sterile gloves. This allows targeting muscles that cannot be relaxed with external techniques.

Result: relaxation of deep muscles, softening of creases, improved symmetry, natural lifting effect, and increased skin tone.

Buccal sculpting facial massage with oil

This is a multi-level manual technique aimed at improving skin quality, contour correction, relieving muscle-fascial blocks, and restoring natural tissue tone. The procedure combines four key directions that sequentially enhance each other.

Objective: sculpting, contour correction, and improving skin quality
Procedure duration: 1.5 hours

Procedure stages:

1. Deep lymphatic drainage and sculpting

This stage is aimed at activating lymphatic drainage, reducing swelling, and improving microcirculation. Gentle yet deep drainage techniques help remove excess intercellular fluid, reduce puffiness, and prepare tissues for further work.

Result: reduced swelling, improved skin tone, a more “open” look, and a refreshed face

2. Buccal massage

The buccal part is performed orally - through the mouth, allowing work on deep chewing and facial muscles that are not accessible with external techniques.

This stage is especially effective for hypertonicity, bruxism, asymmetry, nasolabial folds, and stagnation in the lower third of the face.

Result: relaxation of deep muscles, softening of folds, improved symmetry, and a natural lifting effect.

Recommendations

  • Optimal course - 5–8 procedures, 1–2 times per week.

  • Maintenance massage is recommended 1–2 times per month to maintain results.

  • It is effective to finish the massage with a mask application to enhance and consolidate the result

    A massage course helps define facial contours, improve facial sculpting, refresh skin tone, and smooth fine wrinkles and uneven texture. If you want to achieve a rejuvenating effect and maintain it, the course should be taken several times a year. Alternatively, after completing a course, you can attend maintenance sessions once a month.

    Unlike a regular massage, buccal massage is performed both externally and internally. The muscles are also worked through the mouth. The combination with sculpting techniques allows achieving an excellent lifting effect.

    Massage triggers a natural rejuvenation process: firstly, blood circulation improves, meaning cells receive more nutrients. Secondly, lymph flow improves, which reduces swelling and promotes tissue detoxification. As a result, metabolic processes in the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous fat are accelerated. In addition, facial and neck muscles are worked on, making the skin more lifted.
